The Jungfrau Railway is a cogwheel railway that climbs from Kleine Scheidegg to the Jungfraujoch, passing by the Eiger and Mönch mountains, overcoming an altitude difference of almost 1,400 meters on a route of about 9 kilometers, of which about 7 are in tunnels.
From Interlaken Ost to the Jungfraujoch Top of Europe, there is a total difference in altitude of 2,887 meters, which can be covered in just over 2 hours!

Inside the Alpine peak called "Sphinx", at the highest railway station in Europe, a lift takes you to the summit with the Observatory and the famous belvedere terrace, from which you can enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains and the Aletsch Glacier. The Jungfrau-Aletsch region, characterized by unique flora and fauna, is the first area in the entire Alpine Region to be proclaimed a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Other tourist attractions include the Ice Palace, the ski and snowboard park, and the "Top of Europe" glacier restaurant.
