The GoldenPass Express redefines the travel experience between Interlaken and Montreux.
The GoldenPass Express provides a seamless and even more comfortable travel experience on one of Switzerland’s most picturesque train routes. The new panoramic train will connect Interlaken with Montreux up to four times a day (from June 2023), offering uninterrupted views of the breathtaking panorama.
Designed by the famous Italian designer Pininfarina, the new high-tech train offers panoramic carriages and allows passengers to travel directly from Montreux to Interlaken without having to
change trains. In fact, the GoldenPass Express adopts an innovative variable gauge system which allows the train to switch in a few seconds from the meter gauge of the MOB, the Montreux –
Zweisimmen line, to the standard gauge of the BLS (Zweisimmen – Interlaken), a true technical revolution.
The journey aboard the Goldenpass Express is a journey to discover Switzerland. The route begins in picturesque Interlaken and leads to Gstaad, Château-d'Oex, Montbovon and Montreux, the end point of the journey. Of course, the journey can also start in Montreux
