Please arrive at the Rhaetian Railway station in Tirano at least 30 minutes before departure to meet your guide in front of your reserved carriage. The Rhaetian Railway station is located right next to the Italian train station.
From the charming town of Tirano, the train will begin its breathtaking journey. The route features gradients of up to 70 per thousand (without a cogwheel rack), a unique engineering feat in Europe, as it climbs to a peak altitude of 2,253 meters above sea level.
After a journey of about 2 hours and 30 minutes, you will arrive in the famous Swiss town of St. Moritz. For those who wish, you will have time to explore this Upper Engadine town, founded in the 19th century and nestled in the heart of a magnificent lake landscape.
In the afternoon, you will return to Tirano on the Bernina Express, traveling in your reserved carriage at the scheduled time.
