Day-by-Day Itinerary: In the Heart of the Jungfrau
Day 1: Interlaken, Harder Kulm, and Lakeside Relaxation
Your journey begins with your arrival in Interlaken, the strategic base for this alpine adventure. Utilizing your included pass, you will board the historic funicular railway to the summit of Harder Kulm. Here, the spectacular viewing platform suspended over the valley offers an extraordinary bird's-eye view of the town and both surrounding lakes. The day continues in complete relaxation with a scenic boat cruise on Lake Brienz or Lake Thun, gliding across crystal-clear waters that mirror the blooming lakeside villages and majestic mountain peaks.
Day 2: High-Altitude Thrills on First, the Eiger Express, and Iconic Peaks
An entire day dedicated to sweeping high-altitude vistas, starting from Grindelwald. The cable car whisks you up to First, the starting point for the thrilling First Cliff Walk—a walkway anchored directly to the sheer rock face—followed by a gentle, rejuvenating hike to the turquoise waters of Lake Bachalpsee. Back down in the village, you will experience the state-of-the-art, ultra-fast Eiger Express tricable gondola, which literally flies beneath the legendary Eiger North Face up to Kleine Scheidegg. From there, you will transition to Männlichen to walk the majestic Royal Walk, a trail leading to a crown-shaped panoramic platform set right before the alpine giants: Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, before returning via the charming car-free village of Wengen.
Day 3: The Valley of Waterfalls, Historic Railways, and Alpine Gardens
Your exploration continues in Lauterbrunnen, the breathtaking valley of 72 waterfalls. From here, you will head up to the scenic mountain pastures to enjoy the Lieselotteweg trail, before descending to visit the incredible Trümmelbach Falls (Trümmelbachfälle)—Europe’s only underground glacial waterfalls, uniquely hidden and accessible inside the mountain itself. The tour concludes beautifully by boarding the nostalgic cogwheel railway to Schynige Platte, where you can stroll through the wonderful Alpine Garden, home to over 700 species of rare mountain flowers and herbs, all surrounded by a timeless and majestic alpine panorama.
