3-Day Swiss Rail Adventure: Lucerne, Rigi, Titlis
SWISS ALPINE TRILOGY: MILAN TO THE PEAKS OF TITLIS & RIGI
This program includes travel from Milan to Engelberg with an excursion to Mount Titlis to admire the paradise of eternal ice. You will have time to visit Engelberg and ascend Mount Rigi before returning.
Day 1: Arrival in Engelberg
Your journey will begin with a comfortable train ride from Milan to Lucerne, surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
Upon arrival in Lucerne, you will immerse yourself in its fairytale atmosphere, strolling through the pedestrian historic center and admiring the splendid medieval buildings.
In the afternoon, you will reach Engelberg, a picturesque alpine village and a major tourist destination in the heart of Central Switzerland, renowned for its historic Benedictine Monastery and as the gateway to the imposing Mount Titlis, offering a vast area for hiking and snow sports in both summer and winter.
In the evening, you will settle into a cozy hotel for the night.
Day 2: Exploring Mount Titlis
The second day will be dedicated to the excursion up Mount Titlis, a mountain that offers unique thrills.
You will board the TITLIS Xpress cable car, which will take you to the middle station.
You will then continue on the TITLIS Rotair, the world's first revolving cable car, up to the summit.
From the top, you can admire a breathtaking panorama of the snow-capped Alps and glaciers.
For adventure lovers, the Cliff Walk Suspension Bridge, suspended at 3,000 meters above sea level, is not to be missed.
At the end of this exciting day, you will return to the hotel for the night.
Day 3: Mount Rigi – The Queen of the Mountains
After breakfast, unforgettable emotions await: the excursion to Mount Rigi. You will board the cogwheel train to reach the summit of Mount Rigi, the "Queen of the Mountains."
From the top, you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Swiss Alps and four lakes: Lake Lucerne, Lake Zug, Lake Lauerz, and Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstättersee).
Afterward, you will travel back by train, concluding your journey exploring the heart of Switzerland.
