At the heart of a natural oasis that unfolds along the Swiss border, Mount Generoso stands imposingly. At the top, on a rocky plateau, the "Fiore di pietra" (Stone Flower), a new work by the famous architect Mario Botta, stands majestically, its windows reflecting a breathtaking panorama. Two light-flooded restaurants and a conference room with panoramic views offer the ideal setting for enjoying intense flavors, unforgettable family celebrations and extraordinary corporate events. In addition, the "Fiore di pietra" is designed in such a way that, by means of a partition wall, a separate room can be created to accommodate up to 30 people.

For 130 years, the cogwheel railway has been climbing from Capolago, on Lake Lugano, to the summit of Generoso at an altitude of 1704 meters, covering a distance of 9 km through an enchanting alpine landscape. Here, both visitors who simply want to clear their minds with a relaxing walk and those with more sporting ambitions or an interest in history will find satisfaction.
